Zusammenfassung

Viele Dermatosen sind durch kleine, oft juckende Papeln charakterisiert. Da der Lichen ruber der Hauptvertreter in dieser Gruppe von Dermatosen ist, spricht man auch von lichenoiden Erkrankungen. Lichen leitet sich vom griechischen Wort (Λειχήνα, leichína = Flechte) her, das die flechtenartige Wachstumstendenz durch Aggregation von Papeln beschreibt. Einige Erkrankungen werden auch aufgrund histologischer Merkmale, die an den prototypischen Lichen ruber erinnern, als lichenoid bezeichnet, wie die lichenoide Mycosis fungoides oder das lichenoide Arzneimittelexanthem. Für sie sind insbesondere ein bandartiges lymphozytäres Infiltrat entlang der dermo-epidermalen Junktionszone und eine Alteration der basalen Keratinozyten typisch. Dagegen wird die klinisch fassbare Vergröberung des Hautreliefs durch lang anhaltendes Scheuern und Reiben, wie beim Lichen simplex chronicus, als Lichenifikation bezeichnet.
