β-glucuronidase
FormalPara Definitionβ-Glukuronidase (EC 3.2.1.31) ist ein lysosomales Enzym, das die Hydrolyse von β-Glukuronsäure aus Glykosaminoglykanen katalysiert.
FormalPara BeschreibungEin Mangel an β-Glukuronidase ist Ursache der autosomal rezessiv vererbten Mukopolysaccharidose VII (Sly-Krankheit). Bei dieser lysosomalen Speicherkrankheit ist der Abbau von Dermatansulfat und Heparansulfat gestört. Die Enzymaktivität wird in Fibroblasten, Leukozyten und Serum fotometrisch gemessen. Bei entzündlichen Erkrankungen wie Hepatitis oder chronisch entzündlichen Darmerkrankungen ist die Enzymaktivität erhöht, wobei dem Nachweis der Enzymaktivität keine Bedeutung für die Diagnostik dieser Erkrankungen zukommt.
