FormalPara DefinitionHypnotikum, inzwischen nicht mehr als Humanarzneimittel in Deutschland zugelassen.
Strukturformel:
FormalPara Molmasse250,30 g.
FormalPara Synthese – Verteilung – Abbau – EliminationMethaqualon wird peroral appliziert und im Fettgewebe eingelagert. Beim Abbau entstehen verschiedene Hydroxylierungsprodukte, die langsam renal eliminiert werden.
FormalPara Halbwertszeit10–40 Stunden (Plasma).
FormalPara Funktion – PathophysiologieBei Intoxikation Krämpfe, evtl. Hyperthermie, Koma. Methaqualon hat ein hohes Suchtpotenzial. Missbrauch als Aphrodisiakum.
FormalPara Untersuchungsmaterial – EntnahmebedingungenPlasma (P), Urin.
FormalPara AnalytikImmunoassay (Urin), Hochleistungs-Flüssigkeitschromatographie, GC-MS, LC-MS/MS.
FormalPara IndikationVerdacht auf Methaqualonmissbrauch bzw. -intoxikation.
FormalPara InterpretationWegen des seltenen Gebrauchs ist zurzeit die generelle Prüfung auf Methaqualon im Rahmen des Drogenscreenings nicht erforderlich.
Therapeutischer Bereich (S, P): 1–3 mg/L; toxisch: >3–5 mg/L; komatös/letal: >5–10 mg/L.
