Summary
The principal indication for the treatment of hepatic coma with heterologous liver perfusion is the liver disintegration coma (intoxication, hepatitis). In 3 patients the method was used in combination with exchange transfusion. One of these patients with hepatitis was treated successfully. The technique of perfusion and the criteria for the assessment of functional capacity of pig’s liver are discussed.
Zusammenfassung
Die wichtigste Indikation für die Behandlung des Leberkomas mit Hilfe der heterologen Leberperfusion ist das Leberzerfallskoma (Intoxikation, Hepatitis). Bei 3 Patienten wurde das Verfahren in Kombination mit der Austauschstransfusion angewandt. Einer dieser Patienten mit einer Hepatitis wurde erfolgreich behandelt. Die technische Durchführung der Perfusion und die Kriterien für die Beurteilung der Funktionsfähigkeit der Schweineleber werden diskutiert.
