Zusammenfassung

Bei der Behandlung von bösartigen Geschwülsten sollte von Beginn an eine sinnvolle Kombination des chirurgischen Eingriffs mit einer radiologischen und cytostatischen Therapie geplant werden. Alle drei Maßnahmen haben unvermeidbare Nebenwirkungen, die dem behandelnden Arzt bekannt sein müssen, um Komplikationen rechtzeitig erkennen und somit behandeln zu können. Eine weitere Gefahr stellen die Spätschäden nach Applikation ionisierender Strahlen dar. Abschließend wird kurz auf die Spätschäden nach Verwendung des radioaktiven Kontrastmittels Thorotrast eingegangen.

All three measures have unavoidable side effects of which the physician who is carrying out the treatment must be aware in order to be able to avoid complications in due time and thus be able to treat them. An additional danger is late damage after the application of ionizing radiation. In conclusion the author briefly discusses the late damage after the use of the radioactive contrast medium Thorotrast.
