Summary

A resumé is given of the neurophysiologically demonstrable changes in manifest tetanus. The various points of attack of the tetanus toxin are discussed. The special value for the clinic of an electromyographic examination with regard to early diagnosis and keeping a check on the course of the disease is emphasized.

Zusammenfassung

Es wird eine Übersicht über die neurophysiologisch faßbaren Veränderungen hei manifestem Tetanus gegeben. Die verschiedenen Angriffspunkte des Tetanustoxins werden diskutiert. Für die Klinik wird der besondere Wert der elektromyographischen Untersuchung für Frühdiagnose und Verlaufsbeobachtung hervorgehoben.
