Zusammenfassung

Die Wirkungen des Methanols schienen nach der letzten zusammenfassenden Bearbeitung von Cooper u. Kini [8] mit dem durch oxydative Umwandlung mittels ADH und Katalase entstehenden Formaldehyd erklärt. In den letzten Jahren sind aber eine Reihe neuer Befunde beigebracht worden, die eine Revision dieses Konzepts nahelegen. Die folgende Abhandlung bringt mit der Klärung der Kinetik und der Erörterung der Wege des Umsatzes die wesentlichsten Züge.
