Abstract
It follows from the very long periods of induction found for various malignant neoplasms, as well as from the multiplicity of causative factors, that systematical collection of numerical facts, i.e. statistics, will form a most useful instrument in the study of this group of diseases. Furthermore, the absence of simple tests for making the diagnosis in apparently healthy persons with an ease sufficient for mass application has added to the significance of statistical study.
