Abstract
Talking about financial management, about financial consulting, or even about capital consulting, often causes an association of all kinds of speculations at the stock-exchange and future markets. But, of course, the main objective and the key for the success of a company is a cost-minimizing production management and a profit-maximizing marketing policy. Within this range of action, financial management and financial planning, respectively, has to select optimal financial activities. This can be achieved by aid of a multi-step optimization model for decision support, as it is outlined in this paper.
