Zusammenfassung
In der Bildungsforschung wird angenommen, dass es vermittelnde Faktoren zwischen Persönlichkeit und Schulerfolg gibt. Hierunter fällt beispielsweise der Einsatz bestimmter Zielsetzungen wie der Leistungs- und Kontrollerwartung. Zu fragen ist, ob und warum Schüler/-innen lern- bzw. leistungsmotiviert sind. Die Studie fragt nach der Beeinflussung der Leistung im Politikunterricht durch Leistungserwartungen. Die Wechselwirkungen zwischen Schülerpersönlichkeit und schulischem Leistungsverhalten sind für den Politikunterricht noch nicht geklärt. In der Politikdidaktik fehlen bislang Untersuchungen, die Selbstwirksamkeitserwartungen und Zielorientierungen gemeinsam betrachten. Die Datenerfassung fand in 30 Klassen der gymnasialen Oberstufe (11./12. Klassen) in Baden-Württemberg statt. Die Stichprobe setzt sich aus 401 Schülerinnen und Schülern zusammen. Die Daten beschreiben kaum Verbindungen zwischen den Annäherungs- und Vermeidungs-Leistungszielen und den schulischen Leistungen. Auch die Tendenz zur Arbeitsvermeidung zeigt keine Zusammenhänge auf. Es findet sich lediglich ein leicht positiver Zusammenhang zwischen Annäherungs-Leistungszielen und Wissen. Die allgemeinen Selbstwirksamkeitserwartungen scheinen hier nicht mit schulischen Leistungen verknüpft zu sein.
