Zusammenfassung

Als Digitalisierung werden technologische Veränderungen bezeichnet, die eine „umfassende Vernetzung aller Bereiche von Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft“ ermöglichen (BMWi, 2015: 3). Weil sie vor keiner Branche haltmacht, gilt sie als eine der weitreichendsten Veränderungen unserer Zeit (Baker, 2015). Sie ermöglicht und treibt Verbesserungen oder inkrementelle Veränderungen einzelner Prozesse entlang der Wertschöpfungskette (BMWi, 2015), einzelner Leistungen, vor allem individualisierter und integrierter Kundenlösungen und einzelner Geschäftsmodelle (Köhler/Wollschläger, 2014; Kane et al., 2016).
