Zusammenfassung
The empirical evidence on the effect of monetary policy on economic inequality is ambiguous. There is not only a lack of clarity on whether it has an impact on the income and/or wealth distribution, and, if so, on which sign such an effect would have. But also the impact might be splitted into short- and long-run effects.
