In der Kombinatorik ist es häufig nötig, Summen mit sehr vielen Summanden zu berechnen. In diesem Kapitel soll eine Vorgehensweise (ohne mathematische Strenge) vorgestellt werden, den Wert von Summen abzuschätzen. Seien dazu \(a \in \mathbb {R}\), \(0<h\le 1\) und \(N\in \mathbb {N}\) fest gewählt.
