Zusammenfassung

Das Bildungswesen ebenso wie die Pflegearbeit sind in den letzten Jahren zunehmend mit Blick auf Governance und auf Professionalität diskutiert und untersucht worden. Ohne Spezialist für eine dieser beiden gesellschaftlichen Leistungsproduktionen zu sein, will ich einige übergreifende theoretische Perspektiven auf das Verhältnis von aktuellen Governance-Reformen in Richtung New Public Management (NPM) und Dynamiken der De-Professionalisierung skizzieren, wobei mein eigenes Anschauungsmaterial aus empirischen Forschungen zu Hochschulen und ProfessorInnen stammt.
