Zusammenfassung
Bei der Bestimmung des Gegenstandes der Sozialpädagogik als Jugendbildung habe ich mich zunächst einmal von einem klassischen Vorverständnis leiten lassen. Mit Gertrud Bäumer (1929) und der geisteswissenschaftlichen Pädagogik eines Herman Nohl, die die vorherrschende Sozialpädagogik im 20. Jahrhundert begründet haben, teile ich die Auffassung, dass Sozialpädagogik nicht die gesamte Pädagogik umfasst, sondern nur einen Ausschnitt, nämlich „alles was Erziehung, aber nicht Schule und nicht Familie ist“ (1929, S. 3).
