Zusammenfassung
Im Sinne der von Robert Coles an der Harvard Business School eingeführten literarischen Case Studies geht Kap. 5 dem Synonym „cool“ nach, um seine Herkunft und seine heutige Bedeutung für professionelle Eleganz und Gelassenheit zu erkunden. Erneut beweist sich die Aktualität des Begriffs Sprezzatura in verschiedensten Zusammenhängen: in der Kleidung, der Sprache und Musik – bei ihr vor allem in dem aus der schwarzen Musik hervorgegangenen Jazz und seinen improvisatorischen Arrangements. Wichtigste Voraussetzung für die virtuose Freiheit solcher Improvisationen ist allerdings die Beherrschung der Regeln.
