Im 21. Kapitel wird am Beispiel der Python-Bibliothek SymPy ein Computeralgebrasystem vorgeführt. Es wird demonstriert, wie sich das symbolische Rechnen von der beim Programmieren üblicherweise eingesetzten numerischen Mathematik unterscheidet. SymPy wird im Rest des Buches regelmäßig verwendet.
