Zusammenfassung

Die Art und Weise, wie Produkte oder Dienstleistungen gestaltet, produziert und konsumiert werden, verändert sich mit rasanter Geschwindigkeit (Larivière et al. 2017). Für jegliche Industrien stellt die so genannte digitale Transformation eine der größten Herausforderungen des 21. Jahrhunderts dar (Roland Berger/BDI 2015). Die Bundesregierung Deutschland sieht die digitale Transformation nicht nur für die Wirtschaft, sondern auch für Wissenschaft, Gesellschaft und Politik als zentrale Gestaltungsaufgabe.
