Der Beitrag skizziert Entwicklungslinien und Anliegen der chinabezogenen Frauen- und Geschlechterforschung im Westen und in China. Er nimmt die epistemologische Problematik des stark interkulturell akzentuierten Feldes auf und beleuchtet einige zentrale Forschungsdebatten.
