Zusammenfassung

Entscheidungsprobleme können sich bei Operationen wegen eines Hyperparathyreoidismus ergeben, wenn nicht alle 4 Epithelkörperchen zu identifizieren sind, makroskopisch keine pathologische Veränderung festzustellen ist oder die histologische Untersuchung keine unzweifelhafte Zuordnung des entnommenen Gewebes erlaubt. In diesen Situationen könnte der Abfall der Parathormon-Werte zuverlässig den Operationserfolg nachweisen und weitere Exploration überflüssig machen.
