Abstract
The emotional state and orientation of molecular segments in ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMW-PE) gels and drawn fibers1) have been investigated by 2H-NMR. Corresponding changes in the morphology and crystalite orientation were observed by transmission electron microscopy at different stages of the drawing process.
