Abstract
The exothermic intermolecular interaction is considered to play a key role in polymer miscibility and brings about not only homogenous mixing, but also unique physical properties. Poly (vinyl alcohol) (PVA), poly (methacrylic acid) (PMAA), and poly (acrylic acid) (PAA) have strong hydrogen-bonding donor and acceptor groups, Thus, PVA/PMAA and PVA/PAA systems are expected to be homogenous. The hydrogen-bonding interaction and the morphology of the systems has been studied by CP/MAS NMR in solids.
