Zusammenfassung

Als ausgesprochen elektrophil reagierende Substanz hat β-Propiolakton eine hohe Reaktivität gegenüber allen nukleophilen Stoffen wie auch DNA und RNA, worauf letztlich auch seine sterilisierende Wirkung gegenüber Viren und Bakterien beruht.
