Zusammenfassung

Chirurgische Maßnahmen haben für die Therapie des peptischen Geschwürs an Magen und Zwölffingerdarm einen variablen Stellenwert. Stehen sie für das unkomplizierte Ulcus gewöhnlich am Ende längerer medikamentöser, diätetischer, pädagogischer und auch sozialer Bemühungen, so wird dieser gleichförmige Ablauf durch das Einsetzen bedrohlicher Komplikationen regelmäßig unterbrochen.
