Zusammenfassung
Die chronische Transplantat Dysfunktion stellt heute die Hauptursache für das Transplantatversagen nach Organtransplantation dar. Hierbei steht die chronische Rejektion (z.B. Transplantat Vaskulopathie (TVP)) im Mittelpunkt. In früheren Versuchen konnte gezeigt werden, dass die Mycophenolsäure (MPA), die aktive Wirksubstanz von Mycophenolate Mofetil (MMF), in vitro die glatte Muskelzellproliferation hemmt und dass MMF in verschiedenen Rattenmodellen in der Lage ist, die TVP zu vermindern. In der nun vorgestellten Studie wurde der Einfluss von MMF auf die TVP erstmals im Primatenmodell gezeigt.
