Zusammenfassung

VEGF kann auf parakrinem Weg zur Neubildung von Gefäßen in Tumoren (Tumor-neoangiogenese) führen und spielt daher eine wichtige Rolle für lokales Tumorwachstum und Metastasierung. TGFβ-1 stellt einen potenten Stimulus der Tumorneoangiogenese dar, dessen Wirkung zum Teil durch VEGF vermittelt wird. Nachdem wir zuvor die Expression von VEGF und seinen Rezeptoren im humanen CCC erstmalig in vivo beschreiben konnten, sollten jetzt mögliche funktionelle Interaktionen zwischen TGFβ-1 und VEGF geprüft und molekular charakterisiert werden.
