The prevention of pressure sloughs is one of the most important tasks of nursing. A positive nitrogen balance and the prevention of anemia are important. Frequently decubital ulcers develop in paraplegics. The five classical decubitus localizations are sacral, calcanear, trochanteric, malleolar and ischial. Above all an oblique position prevents pressure. The clinical stages of decubitus formation were described by Campbell in 1959. The Norton scale is important for initial prophylaxis.

Die Verhütung von Drucknekrosen ist eine der wichtigsten Aufgaben der Krankenpflege überhaupt. Wichtig ist außerdem die Aufrechterhaltung einer positiven Stickstoffbilanz sowie die Verhinderung einer Anaemie. Am häufigsten treten Decubiti bei Paraplegikern auf. Die 5 klassischen Dekubituslokalisationen sind: sakral, Fersen, Trochanter, Malleolargegend sowie die Sitzbeinhöcker. Die Druckentlastung erfolgt vor allem durch Schräglage. Die klinischen Stadien der Dekubitalausbildung hat Campbell 1959 festgelegt. Für die Einleitung einer Prophylaxe ist die Norton-Skala wichtig.
