Each bed houses its own patient, and each patient carries his specific truth which he shares with all his partners, thus breaking the isolation of his fate. Only in this way is it possible for all concerned to bear or help bear the heavy burden of life’s last stretch.

Es gibt nicht die Wahrheit, es gibt nicht das Krankenbett. Jedes Bett hat seinen Kranken. Jeder Kranke hat seine Wahrheit, die er mit seinen Partnern teilt und die ihn aus der Isolation seines Schicksals herauszuheben vermag und es für die nächste Umgebung überhaupt erst möglich macht, das schwere Joch der letzten Wegstrecke gemeinsam zu tragen.
