Abstract

Cancer therapy has evolved over the last 20 years; however structured rehabilitative interventions for functional impairments related to cancer pain syndromes continue to be a challenge. It is important that physicians treating cancer patients are aware of the benefits and indications for referral to a cancer rehabilitation service, in this case physical therapy. This chapter aims at guiding the healthcare provider with the appropriate physical therapy interventions that should be implemented in preventing and addressing functional limitations from cancer and its related treatments.
