Abstract

There are at least three areas in which Russian electroanalysts have made a significant contribution: (1) ion-selective electrodes (theory, electronic tongue, etc.); (2) inverse voltammetry (analytical signal theory and as well as numerous other specific procedures); and (3) new electrodes (especially modified ones, for use in various electrochemical methods). Specialists in this field include B. P. Nikol’skii, Yu. G. Vlasov, A. G. Stromberg, Kh. Z. Brainina, and G. K. Budnikov. A precision coulometer has also been developed in Russia.
