Abstract

This chapter describes the pattern “External behavioral dependencies”. In this episode we consider Robert’s attempt to compile and run source code written in Java. The technical sections discuss the dependencies that are required for executing software components, software documentation, as well as IP addresses and DNS, since software components might depend on external resources identifiable by IP addresses.
