Abstract
This chapter first presents Siyuan’s cross-cultural experiences in Canada. Learning from others in his first year of teaching and encountering emerging tensions in his second year of teaching, Siyuan made a great effort to adapt to his school’s cultural focus on pursuing students’ academic excellence and connected to both a personal and global environment in his third year of teaching. Finally, this chapter depicts Siyuan’s determination to be an irreplaceable teacher in stories about moving forward.
