Abstract

Gastric electrical stimulation (GES) is a powerful antiemetic therapy for patients with refractory nausea and emesis and is most efficacious in diabetic gastroparesis.

Surgical pyloroplasty can be considered a primary therapy or can be safely added to GES therapy to accelerate gastric emptying.
