Relationship of Age on Responses to Automobile Warnings

Abstract

A previous examination of knowledge of warnings using the present materials with college-age individuals did show some lack of knowledge about several specific warnings. Other studies have indicated differences in the age of the individuals participating in evaluation of warnings. Therefore, in the present study we examined the same materials that had been given to the undergraduate students with a sample of older individuals ranging in age from thirty to sixty-five and found that most of the responses of older individuals were similar to those of the younger individuals and their lack of knowledge of automobile warnings.
