Abstract
In the objective structured clinical examinations (OSCE), you are likely to get at least one station related to the cardiovascular system. This may include a detailed history with relevant physical examination station. Chest pain is a very common and important station for OSCE. I must say, you should master all the possible chest pain cases. You should practice very well cardiac and non-cardiac chest pain cases with or without cardiovascular examination and management.
This chapter outlines a few important cardiovascular cases. In the beginning of the chapter, there is an overview of the history taking, followed by cardiac examination and some common cardiovascular presentations.
