Abstract
Liver tumours account for only 5% of all tumours in prenatal and neonatal period [1]. They include a variety of benign and malignant neoplasms with a different distribution than in older children (Table 37.1). The most common are vascular neoplasm, of which infantile haemangioendothelioma and cavernous haemangioma are the most frequently types, and embryonal hepatic cell tumours such as hepatoblastoma. Mesenchymal hamartomas and germ cell tumours can occur very rarely, and the differential diagnosis of these tumours could be very difficult.
