Abstract

Change occurs in organisations because of the need to adapt, evolve and improve in the face of a plethora of variables, threats and circumstances, both internal and external. But there is a wider landscape out there which impacts us all. This is the social, cultural, economic, technological, environmental, spiritual, political and global environment of which we are all a part. It doesn’t matter what job we do, the profession we work in, or the size of our organisation, we are all at the mercy of this ‘big picture’ out there and the world events that shape our destiny.
