Hyperhidrosis

Abstract

Aspiratory curettage of the armpit’s sweat glands is an alternative method to endoscopic thoracic sympathectomy in the treatment of axillary hyperhidrosis, with or without bromhidrosis, and may also be complementary to the sympathectomy when it fails to achieve regional anhidrosis. It is a simple surgical method, with satisfactory results and minor complications with easy resolution in most cases.
