Abstract
Laparoscopic urogynaecology has become increasingly popular over the past decade. When offering these procedures it is important to offer the full range of non surgical as well as appropriate surgical alternatives. The National Institute of Health and Clinical Excellence has issued clear guidance on performing these procedures. Adequate training, working within an MDT and appropriate consent are the cornerstones of treatment and compliance with clinical governance advised. This chapter deals with litigation in relation to laparoscopic urogynaecology.
