Abstract
Biceps tendon rupture can occur proximally at the attachment of the long head of the biceps on the superior glenoid or the short head of the biceps on the coracoid process. The tendon may also rupture distally at its insertion on the radial tuberosity. Nonoperative management is typically reserved for partial tears and patients who are unable to undergo surgical intervention. Operative management has predicable and successful outcomes in restoring elbow flexion and forearm supination strength.
