Slipped Capital Femoral Epiphysis

Abstract

Slipped capital femoral epiphysis is seen most commonly in adolescents. It is associated with obesity and metabolic disorders. It can present as hip, groin, knee, or thigh pain. A lateral radiograph is the most sensitive for detecting SCFEs. Treatment is operative fixation.
