Abstract
This chapter reviews the current marketplace offerings of hyaluronic acid gels that are FDA indicated for volume restoration in the pre-auricular area. Included in this discussion are the structural composition and product specifics for various materials. Additionally, we review methods, techniques, and clinical follow-up for pre-auricular rejuvenation. Lastly, we review contraindications and side effects that providers and patients should be aware of prior to use of hyaluronic acid. After reading this section, providers should feel better prepared to utilize this class of products in patients requesting corrective cosmetic concerns in the pre-auricular area.
