Abstract
A method on how to evaluate sustainability performance is described, starting from the definition of purpose and scope and followed by a data collection, evaluation of cases, selection of indicators, sustainability assessment, and synthesis of results. In the sustainability assessment, the analytic hierarchical process is described in detail for a decision support assessment. The definition of scenarios on priorities, with respect to social, environmental or economical dimensions is then integrated by using non-dimensional indicators.
