Abstract
Knee replacement is an increasingly common operation with over 80,000 performed in the UK annually (UK National Joint Registry 11th Annual Report, 2015). The vast majority are cemented implants. Unicompartmental replacements account for about 8% of all knee replacements, and patellofemoral replacements are 1% of the total.
