Abstract
The NMR-MOUSE is a portable magnetic resonance imaging device employed for non-destructive testing of hydrogen-containing materials. Following an introduction to NMR and the NMR-MOUSE, the use of the device for heritage studies is illustrated with examples concerning mummies, easel paintings and frescoes.
