Abstract
Cicatricial entropion must be differentiated from more common senile, or spastic entropion. Cicatricial entropion requires procedures to overcoming scarring contraction of the eyelid margin using full-thickness rotational surgery such as the Wies procedure or the Trabut procedure using only transconjunctival surgery without incising the orbicularis muscle. More advanced cases require directly incision scarred eyelids tissue with addition of grafts such as mucous membrane, hard palate mucosa, or amniotic membrane.
