Abstract

An image shows neutral colour balance if its mean value is mid-grey (127, 127, 127). In general, an image shows some degree of colour imbalance, but it can be brought into balance by changing the colours proportionately, or by framing. This chapter presents scripts for colour balancing an image by both methods, and examples.
