Abstract

Blood flow in our vascular system is quite slow and allows laminar flow patterns in most areas. The critical bubble size not interfering with laminar flow regimes can be estimated, if 0.5 as a rough estimate cut-off Reynolds number for laminar bubble flow is taken [1].thenwhere Re = Reynolds number, a = cavitation void radius, u = stream velocity, η = fluid viscosity.
