Abstract
There are a variety of practical problems involving changes of draught and trim that can be treated reasonably accurately by assuming that the changes of draught and trim are small. In the following analysis it is assumed that any changes take place within the centreline plane and, thus, do not affect the port-starboard symmetry of the vessel.
