Abstract

The main causes of chronic liver disease in children are: neonatal liver disease (see Chap. 1); alpha-1-anti-trypsin deficiency (see Chap. 1); autoimmune liver disease (see Chap. 6); cystic fibrosis (see Chap. 8), chronic viral hepatitis, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease liver disease (NAFLD) and metabolic liver disease (see Chaps. 1 and 2) (Table 7.1).
